A frequently-overlooked benefit of being a CaliforniaChoice member is our powerful smart decision technology. We offer a variety of tools to streamline your initial plan selection, help you consider alternatives at renewal, allow you to search for doctors and specialists, and much more.
Here’s a brief summary of everything included in our tech suite:
- Plan Comparison Tool: Because CaliforniaChoice offers so many options for members to choose from, we know it could be difficult to decide what plan is your best option. That’s why we offer a valuable tool that lets you compare plans, based on:
- How often you visit the doctor.
- The doctors you want – and whether they are in the plans and networks you are considering.
- Your out-of-pocket costs, including your deductible(s), copayments, and coinsurance.
- Your location – so you can find a doctor close to your home or office.
- Overall quality of your health plan options – including feedback from current or prior plan members.
- Online Provider Search: You can look up health plans and coverage options that include your favorite doctor(s) and specialist(s), look for a new doctor, or even find out which hospital networks include your preferred doctors and specialists.
- Online Rx Search: If you’re currently taking one or more prescription drugs (or others who are or will be covered under your plan have prescription needs), you can find out what drugs are included in each health plan’s drug formulary, whether a generic drug might be covered instead, and limits on coverage. This can help you control your out-of-pocket expenses and/or avoid surprises when going to the pharmacy.
Log in at calchoice.com today. Click on “Resources” and select “Plan Comparison Tool” from the drop-down menu to start your plan comparison.
Select “Provider Search” along the top of the page to look up Medical, Dental, Vision, or Chiropractic and Acupuncture providers. For some searches, you may be redirected from the CaliforniaChoice site to another site.
Click on “Rx Search” to look up information concerning prescription drug benefits for your current plan or a plan you may be considering. Click the “Accept” button to enter the name of the drug you want to look up or if you want to do a therapeutic drug search.
